Vanda, deep purple, currently in bloom

Description: Gorgeous velvety purple flowers with intricate mottled patterns make this Vanda a real showstopper. Healthy, well established plant with strong aerial roots and multiple blooms on display right now. Keep them in bright but diffused sunlight and in warm temperatures (minimum 15 Celsius) and they’ll flower every year.

Care: Open air (generally only suitable for a heated, humid greenhouse): spray the plant and roots every day, using fertiliser at least 2-3 times a week.

Vase: select a clear vase of your choice that can fit in the rootball easily. Place on a brightly lit window (a net curtain or similar needed to diffuse south or west facing aspects in summer) and spray the roots daily. Leave around 1cm of water in the bottom of the vase to help with moisture and humidity

Pot: as above, but find a pot which the roots will fit in snuggly. Do not use a larger pot than you have to. Twist and turn the roots to get them in, then fill with 100% coarse grade orchid bark. Shake the pot so the bark gets between the roots. Water around once a week, letting it dry between waterings.

All plants are sent Royal Mail 1^st Class recorded delivery: £8.00 for one plant or £10 for two or more plants. Plants can also be collected from our nursery in Bristol.
